Description:
The HD-A860 Paper Air Permeance Tester uses the Gurley Method to determine the air permeability of paper and cardboard. It is designed as per QB/T1667-98, GB/T458-2008, and ISO 5636-5 standards, making it ideal for paper mills, packaging manufacturers, and QC labs that need to test porosity and breathability of sheet materials. This tester measures the medium air permeability range of 0-17 μm (Pa.S), which is equivalent to 0-1000ml/min air flow. The test works by measuring the time it takes for a fixed volume of air, 1000ml measuring cylinder capacity, to pass through a defined test area of 10.0±0.05cm² under a controlled sample pressure difference of 1.00±0.01kPa. The sample size required is 60×100mm. Key technical specs include: coaxiality of the center hole of the clamp ring less than 0.05mm for precise alignment, inner diameter of clamp ring 35.68±0.05mm, and overall machine size of 350×250×1160mm LxWxH with a weight of 30 Kg. It runs on standard AC 220V, 50 Hz power supply. The HD-A860 is essential for determining how easily air passes through paper and cardboard. Air permeance directly affects printing, coating, lamination, and packaging performance. Higher Gurley values mean denser, less porous paper, while lower values indicate more breathable material.
